Contact Wolf provides the capability to send TEXT MESSAGES to any cell phone or mobile device capable of receiving SMS text messages. Messages are routed via the internet through the SMS Gateway for the carrier selected.
A cell phone or mobile device account is not required to send text messages.An Internet connection is required to successfully send a text mesage. Sending text messages with Contact Wolf is completely FREE.
The Text Message being sent is normally received immediately by the recipient unless the SMS Gateway for the Carrier is not functioning.If you see FAILURE message when sending a text messsage, wait one minute and then try again.
To Send a Text Message:
1) Click on the Phone number in the Phone List for the record selected. Only mobile devices with Text messaging can receive the message.
2) Click on the Text Message buttonto open the Text messaging Window
3) Complete the required information (the Name & Phone # of the recipient is already entered into the window)
4) Select the Recipient carrier from the drop down menu.
If you do not know the recipients carrier company click on the FIND CARRIER button.
Click on one of the links in the list to open a browser with an internet based utility to discover the CARRIER for the phone number. Enter the phone number on the web page to find the Carrier.
Once the Carrier is known select it from the drop down menu "Select Recipient carrier" in the SEND SMS Text Message window. When a text message is successfully sent the CARRIER will be saved for the phone number
so that you will not need to find it again.
4) Click on the SEND button
A message will be displayed if the message is sent successfully.
