The User ID option in Contact Wolf is used to restrict Alarm reminders to only be displayed by Contact Wolf on a computer being run from the User account with the UserID entered.
It is also used for the To-Do List, password protection and some other features.
This option is normally used when multiple users are running the software on a network and sharing the database. If you are the only user it is not necessary to set the UserID.
If the user ID is set on a computer the Alarm Reminders also set while the UserID is enabled will only display the Alarm reminders with a matching userID.
NOTE: The UserID is also required to Password Protect individual records in the database. More Information.
To set the User ID:
1) Select:
Preferences -> Set User ID
2) Enter the User ID or password
3) Click OK to accept the changes and enable the User ID.
